Following the 2020 bankruptcy of Remington Outdoor Company, the firearms business historically operated under the Remington name was acquired by Roundhill Group LLC and has since been operated by RemArms, LLC. On November 8, 2021, the Office of the Governor of Georgia and RemArms each issued press releases announcing that the company would establish advanced manufacturing operations and its global headquarters in LaGrange, Troup County, Georgia — publicly projecting 856 jobs over five years. Manufacturing at the company’s historic Ilion, New York plant subsequently ended, and operations moved to Georgia, ultimately centered at a facility at 1475 South Davis Road, LaGrange.
Construction of the LaGrange facility involved public economic-development support — including land, incentives, and a state REBA grant administered locally — together with a construction loan secured against the property, recorded in the Troup County land records in October 2024. A number of contractors and suppliers who worked on the project have since recorded mechanics’ liens against the property or filed suit; those recorded instruments and cases are indexed on the Public Records page.
Two principal civil actions currently frame public interest in the enterprise:
Filed May 6, 2026, in the United States District Court for the District of Delaware. Roundhill Group LLC sued Christopher Ripley, Mulford Waldrop, Frank D. Foley III, and Jack Foley, asserting claims for breach of a non-disclosure agreement and seeking emergency injunctive relief. This site will add the public filings from this action as they are obtained.
Filed June 29, 2026. Christopher B. Ripley and Rip95 LLC d/b/a Risk Off Capital, LLC filed a 65-page Verified Complaint against Scott Soura, Virginie Boutin, Jane Doe Boutin, Ken D’Arcy, Roundhill Group LLC, RemArms, LLC, Rockwell One Holdings, LLC, RemTML, LLC, and several entities identified by description, asserting eleven counts including fraud in the inducement, promissory fraud, civil conspiracy, voidable transfers, conversion, breach of contract, civil theft by deception, violations of the Georgia RICO statute, punitive damages, attorneys’ fees, and a declaratory judgment concerning the enforceability of the parties’ NDA. A jury trial is demanded.
In summary — and as allegations only — the Verified Complaint asserts that the enterprise operating the LaGrange facility was structured and run through a deliberately opaque web of related entities in a manner designed to defeat the claims of creditors, including contractors and public bodies; that the 856-job public commitment was materially inconsistent with internal planning documents; that a construction-loan draw designated for specific contractors was diverted; and that the plaintiffs, as prospective investors and service providers, were defrauded. The defendants have not, as of this site’s last update, filed responsive pleadings available to this repository; their responses will be published here when publicly available.
The Verified Complaint identifies more than 250 allegedly unpaid trade creditors of the enterprise, many concentrated in Troup County and the surrounding region, and describes recorded mechanics’ liens and pending collection actions by area contractors. A publicly noticed town-hall meeting in LaGrange titled “The Future of Remington,” scheduled for May 7, 2026, was canceled following the Delaware filing, according to the Verified Complaint.
