Meet the communities →Local outlets covering courthouse records and economic development do slow, unglamorous, essential work. Subscribe, share their reporting, and send them documents — including ours.
Media center →Public money came with public promises. The November 2021 announcement pledged approximately 856 jobs over five years, supported by land, incentives, and REBA grant funds administered through the LaGrange Development Authority and conditioned on job creation. Citizens — especially Georgia and Troup County residents — are entitled to ask their elected officials and development authorities, respectfully and factually, the questions the record raises: Has the job-creation commitment been independently verified? What are the clawback provisions if it is not met, and will they be enforced? Why was the performance-bond requirement waived on a publicly supported construction project — and what protections exist now for the local contractors who built it? Attend the public meetings. Ask for the audits. Put it on the record.
That is not taking sides in anyone’s lawsuit. It is what public incentives are supposed to come with.

If you or your family worked at Remington — Ilion, Bridgeport, Lonoke, Huntsville, LaGrange, or elsewhere — your photographs, catalogs, letters, badges, service awards, and recollections are historically valuable. Scans or photographs of materials may be submitted to corrections@save-remington.org with a note on their provenance; contributed materials are credited unless anonymity is requested, and nothing is published without verification of its source.
If you hold public documents this repository lacks — court filings, recorded instruments, official correspondence — sending a copy (or simply the docket/recording reference) directly grows the public’s access to its own records.
Wherever these events are discussed — town halls, forums, social media — the most useful contribution is usually a citation. Documented facts, clearly separated from speculation, are what journalists, officials, and courts can actually use. That discipline is this site’s entire method, and anyone can practice it.
